Cavemizer is an optimizer and parametric designer for block caving or sub-level caving operations.

  • Multi- Footprint Finder : Automatically determines the best footprint for a single deposit.
  • Caving Optimization : Defines your own caving stages, each with its own recovery and external dilutions; Reports precise mineable reserves for each caving stage.
  • El Teniente and Herringbone layouts — generates drawpoint positions from production drift geometry rather than an arbitrary cone grid, with the two rules differing only in the along-drift offset between opposing drawpoints
  • Parametric design — drift spacing, drawbell station pitch and major apex width drive the pattern; drawpoint drift lengths are derived so the apex is always valid
  • Automatic development generation — production drifts, drawbell stations and angled drawpoint drifts are created as level development, trimmed to the footprint
  • Design-driven scheduler inputs — drawpoint area comes from the layout tile and drawzone spacing is measured across generated positions
  • Nearest-drawpoint block ownership — overlapping drawzones are partitioned geometrically rather than by processing order, so column tonnages reflect the layout
  • Drawzone interaction feedback — live readout of drawzone spacing against diameter, flagging interactive versus isolated draw as spacing is varied
  • Drawzone sizing — cone footprint entered directly or matched to the drawpoint’s share of the extraction level
